TOUR DATES:
TBD 6/7 - 6/12
6/11 - 6/13
6/21 - 6/23
7/2 - 7/4
9/25 - 9/28
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED: No international dates, but would prefer someone with a passport and clean record
TYPE OF VENUES: Festival dates w highest capacity at 20K, potential for a club show at 500 cap
TRAVELING IN: Fly dates + Sprinter Van. Must be able to drive & park confidently with a trailer as well (but unlikely for these one-off / fly in dates)
HOTELS:
Female: potential for shared room w tech due to one-off budgets
Male: Solo room
PRODUCTION CARRIED: backline, playback rig, mics
THE CREW: 4 band members + guitar tech + TM/FOH = 6 people total
THE VIBE:
This all female band ranges in age from 27-31. They have known each other since they were teens so they are locked in on respectful, sisterly dynamics. They are an LGBTQ+ friendly gang. They are health conscious / some band members are vegan.
On festival dates, if the line-up is cool, they will hang around to watch other band. You can expect post show to be chill all around, but will ultimately be dependent on several factors (travel day length, show energy, etc.). Historically this group isn’t big on going out and more often than not are ready to head back to the hotel and get some sleep.
They like to eat shortly after they are off stage, so something to have in mind when you are coordinating hospo / getting food to the venue for them! They are good at communicating their needs.
Seeking someone who is experienced as TM/FOH, but also knows how to read a vibe and be attuned to the needs of the band (first and foremost), the venues, mgmt, etc. This is a polite, respectful and considerate group.I want the leader of it to be confident, but mirror those attributes from top to bottom (to the stage hand who helps at load in, at FOH, to tour support and to the artist themselves). An ideal candidate knows how to problem solve and roll with the punches with a smile on their face. Management will be readily accessible, but would love someone who exhausts all options in a calm manner as we work in tandem. In conclusion, where my “can-do” personalities at
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advancing all hospo, hotels, travel
- Loading all info into Master Tour and keeping it updated in real time
- Local driving as needed on these fly away dates
- Streamlined communication with the band via group text
- Loading in & loading out alongside the crew/band
- Settling w/ venues
- Handling guest lists in tandem with mgmt
- Keeping track of expenses/payments received/end of one-off report w receipts
- Mixing monitors from FOH
- There is potential for VIP M&Gs but unlikely. Must be prepared if this comes up at any of these one-off dates (but nothing planned at this time).
- No merch responsibilities other than packing it into trailer with crew/band
POSITION BUDGET:
$450 / show day + $25 PD
$225 / travel days + $25 PD
$100 for advancing
Flights, baggage, hotels
As applicable: Hotel + ground transpo if coming in from out of state for LA based rehearsal
YOUR BACKGROUND:
You must have toured as a TM/FOH before. You must have toured as an audio engineer for at least 3 years. You must have toured as a TM for at least 3 years. Previous experience getting a van and trailer tour into and out of Canada is a huge plus. No cigarette smokers, marijuana smokers or heavy drinkers.
Looking for someone who can thrive on their own, but are down for a hang if the moment presents itself. Can be someone who loves to get after it in the gym in the morn or night / or loves to re-coup in the zen of their hotel room. Someone down to find a local vegan restaurant to try out, not a necessity. Loves a local coffee shop. A plus if they are able to help with content - one of the band members is very self-sufficient at this, but if there is a moment where they can grab the camera to film something, amazing (acknowledging that would be tough on double duty, but alas)
